Mike created Medusa Geo-Consulting after a prolonged interest in geology and over 18 years of experience as a geologist and consultant in Zimbabwe, Africa, working with aggressive companies exploring and mining precious and base metals in Archean greenstone terrains.
As the Group Chief Geologist for Falcon Gold Zimbabwe (Falgold), Mike was based at Dalny Mine - one of the largest and deepest gold mines in Zimbabwe - and was in charge of exploration and mining geology at all Falgold’s properties. He also served as manager at Dalny Mine, a mine producing 85kg’s of gold a month with over 1500 employees.
Being in charge of all Falgold’s geology departments, Mike was instrumental in the oversight, planning, training, and reporting of all mining and exploration programs, including several Exclusive Prospecting Orders (EPO’s) that encompassed extensive areas of Archean geology and mineral potential in Zimbabwe. Several of these EPO’s operated on budgets ranging between $8 million to $12 million and were successfully completed with several areas identified and either claimed or developed for their mineral potential.
